YouSee is removing SkyShowtime from its Full Package (Fuldpakken) subscription. Customers will lose access to SkyShowtime on December 31, 2026. On January 1, 2027, YouSee will add the TV 2 Play Favorit + Sport streaming service to the Full Package instead. The monthly price for the YouSee Full Package will increase to 919 DKK. Customers who want to continue watching SkyShowtime after 2026 must buy a separate SkyShowtime subscription or use a different television provider.
What Are the YouSee SkyShowtime Denmark Changes?
The partnership between YouSee and SkyShowtime is changing. YouSee currently includes the SkyShowtime streaming service in its most expensive television package. This will end completely on December 31, 2026.
After this date, YouSee Full Package subscribers cannot watch SkyShowtime through their YouSee television box. They also cannot watch SkyShowtime through the YouSee mobile application.
This change only affects YouSee customers. SkyShowtime is not leaving Denmark. You can still buy a direct subscription from the SkyShowtime website. You can also still find the SkyShowtime application on popular Smart TV operating systems, such as Samsung Tizen and Google TV.

TV 2 Play Favorit + Sport Replaces SkyShowtime
When YouSee removes SkyShowtime, it will provide a different streaming service. Starting January 1, 2027, YouSee Full Package customers will receive TV 2 Play Favorit + Sport.
YouSee Full Package customers already receive the standard TV 2 television channels. The new addition gives customers access to the TV 2 Play streaming platform. This platform contains an archive of movies, documentaries, and Danish television series.
Most importantly, this new package includes comprehensive sports coverage. Customers can watch the content directly in the TV 2 Play application.

How These Changes Affect Live Football Fans
The addition of TV 2 Play Favorit + Sport is a significant upgrade for live football fans. TV 2 owns the broadcasting rights for many popular sports competitions in Denmark.
Watching live football requires a good television and a stable internet connection. Because sports have fast movement, your television must have good motion handling. A television with a 120Hz refresh rate will display a smoother football match than a television with a 60Hz refresh rate.
For the best live football experience, you should connect your Smart TV directly to your internet router using an Ethernet cable. An Ethernet cable provides a more stable connection than Wi-Fi. This is very important when you stream live sports in high resolution.

IPTV and Smart TV Compatibility
Many users in Denmark combine standard television packages with IPTV services. If you use TV Shadow IPTV, these YouSee package changes do not affect your IPTV service. TV Shadow IPTV operates completely separately from YouSee, SkyShowtime, and TV 2 Play.
However, you must consider device compatibility. If you previously watched SkyShowtime using a YouSee television box, and you now want to buy a separate SkyShowtime subscription, you must check your Smart TV.
SkyShowtime has official applications for:
Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen)
LG Smart TVs (webOS)
Google TV and Android TV devices
Apple TV
You can install the SkyShowtime application directly from your television’s app store. You can also install popular IPTV players from these same app stores.

Conclusión
The YouSee SkyShowtime Denmark changes are important for streaming customers. On December 31, 2026, YouSee will remove SkyShowtime from the Full Package. On January 1, 2027, YouSee will replace it with TV 2 Play Favorit + Sport. The new package provides excellent live football coverage, but the monthly price will increase to 919 DKK. If you want to keep SkyShowtime, you must buy a separate subscription and use the official application on your Smart TV.
These changes do not affect independent services like TV Shadow IPTV. You can continue to use your favorite IPTV players alongside official streaming applications on your Smart TV.
